Mary Green started her business at home as a single mother. She decided she wanted spend time with her daughter, but also be able to do the thing she loved the most: travel. She decided to import silk and turn it into lingerie products she would design herself. She traveled around the world with her daughter and then wrote a book about it, entitled, How to be an Importer and Pay for Your World Travel. She started the business in 1975 and began ManSilk in 1980 to 1982. Today her business has grown into a huge success. Mary Green has been featured in too many magazines to name, but here’s a list of some of them: Home Business, Elle, Shape, Cosmopolitan, YM, Bridal Guide, Maxim, InStyle, Glamour, Elegant Bride, FHM, US Weekly, Lucky, Marie Claire, Traveler, and The New York Post. Most of these magazines have used Mary Green in several of their publications.
